Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy) is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a medical device that contains fine needles. These needles are used to create micro-punctures to the skin at various depths to create a controlled and safe skin injury. Each microscopic puncture creates a channel that stimulates neo vascularization (new blood supply) and neo collagenesis (new collagen growth) to fill in these microscopic wounds. A variety ofmicroneedling devices exist with needle depth ranging from 0.5 to 2mm. Microneedling with the serum portion of your blood; Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) contains high level of growth factors and growth activating molecules to stimulate collagen and elastin production.Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is prepared by taking a small sample of the patient's own blood, then separating platelets from the Red Blood Cells.Next, the PRP is collected and may be applied to the treated site during Microneedling procedure.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine, sterile needles to create micro-injuries in the skin’s surface. These tiny punctures trigger the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin—key proteins that maintain skin firmness, elasticity, and overall appearance. The controlled skin injury also enhances cellular turnover and helps reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines, and enlarged pores over time.

During the procedure, a dermaroller or microneedling pen is gently moved across the skin, penetrating the upper layers without causing significant damage. As the skin heals, it becomes smoother, more even-toned, and rejuvenated. Microneedling can also improve the absorption and effectiveness of topical skincare products by temporarily increasing skin permeability. It’s commonly used on the face but may also be applied to the neck, chest, and other areas needing rejuvenation.
